Driver faces felony charges after high-speed chase near Rushville, Hay Springs
RUSHVILLE, Neb. - A man is facing multiple felony charges after a high-speed chase throughout Sheridan County. According to the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were advised of a pursuit entering the county from South Dakota around 6:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Authorities advised that the people in the vehicle may have firearms and drugs.
Deputies chased the vehicle down multiple county roads, attempting to spike the vehicle. However, the sheriff’s office said that the driver continued to elude law enforcement, driving on Highway 20 outside of Rushville and through Hay Springs.
The driver was ultimately stopped in Box Butte County, where authorities say a male driver was arrested on multiple felony charges. Two passengers were also detained, interviewed and ultimately released with minor, unrelated charges.
