Marcia Wenzl, 83, of Tecumseh
Marcia (Moslander) Wenzl passed away December 26, 2024 at the age of 83 years. She was born March 18, 1941 at home near Steinauer, Nebraska, the third of eight children born to James and Lois (Barber) Moslander. It was quite remarkable that Marcia survived back then, only weighing three pounds at birth. She was kept in a shoe box in a dresser drawer to keep her warm, she was so tiny. She moved with her family at a young age near Tecumseh where she attended country school and later Tecumseh Public Schools.
On May 27, 1961, Marcia married Eugene Wenzl. Together they raised two wonderful sons Randy and Allen. Marcia was a devoted wife and mother. She was her sons’ biggest fan.
In 1959, Marcia went to work for the Campbell’s Soup Company and worked there for over 31 years until her retirement. She also worked/cleaned for Field Ford and the Tecumseh Veteran’s Club over the years. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing BINGO. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tecumseh, Nebraska.
Left to mourn her passing are her sons Randy Wenzl and wife Sheila of Pawnee City and Allen Wenzl and wife Marie of Barnard, MO, 2 granddaughters, 2 step- granddaughters, 4 great-granddaughters, 2 great-grandsons,1 great-great grandson, sisters Janice Lee and Carole Stueck of Lincoln and Judy Moslander of Dorchester and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene (Feb.15, 1996), twin sister Marda Puhalla, sisters Linda Cain and Mary Searcey and brother Jim Moslander.
Mass of Christian Burial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at the St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Father Christopher Kubat officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2024 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Memorials may go to the family's choice.
Interment will be in the St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, Tecumseh, Nebraska.
