FALLS CITY- Four award winners have been named from the bi-annual artist competition at the Falls City Library and Arts Center.

Patricia Steinman was first with an agricultural landscape painting and fourth with a painting of a street scene of children playing in the water.

Cheryl (Tootie) Ebel was second

Corey Hayes was third

Honorable mention to Madison Littrel and Christina Wertenberger.

Wertenberger called the caliber of work on display at the library right now fantastic.

She credited Steinman’s first-place painting for its unique details and texture representing Nebraska’s agricultural landscape.

There were 11 artists competing and 28 pieces in the 2024 contest. The exhibition is on display at the library's Stalder Gallery until Jan. 11.
