Curtis L. Baier, age 39 of Weeping Water, NE passed away on December 4, 2024.

Curtis Leonard Baier was born on October 8, 1985 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, NE; the son of Patrick L. and Katherine L. (Benson) Baier.  He attended school at Syracuse Elementary and Syracuse High School where he graduated with the Class of 2004. 

He was united in marriage to Holly E. Kellerman on July 22, 2005 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Nebraska City, NE and to this union three children were born:  Keira, Brooke and Zeke. 

Curtis worked construction at Welstead Construction working with his father-in-law and uncle.  He then worked at Varsity Facility Services in Utah and most recently at Merck Company Animal Health in Elkhorn, NE where he was the Maintenance Supervisor.

He is survived by his wife Holly Baier of Weeping Water, NE; children:  Keira, Brooke and Zeke all of the home; his dad Patrick Baier of Avoca, NE; siblings:  Laura K. Baier Campbell (Shane) of Pocatello, ID, Erin D. Baier Blake (Matthew) of Sioux Falls, SD, Kevin P. Baier of Avoca, NE, Lisa B. Baier Orchard (Orin) of Otoe, NE, Anna L. Jones of Auburn, NE and Emily A. Baier Evans (Nathan) of Kansas City, MO; father-in-law Don Welstead of Union, NE, brothers-in-law:  Clint Kellerman (Mindy) of Union, NE and Kelly Kellerman (Melissa) of Weeping Water, NE; former step-mother Jennifer Blair of Cook, NE; numerous aunts and uncles including Danny and Clem Benson of Urda, UT; dear friends Kermit Gates (Jennifer); other family and friends.

Curtis was preceded in death by his mother Katherine Baier on December 4, 1996; maternal grandparents:  Bobbie (Benson) Johnson, Leonard Benson and Alex Johnson; paternal grandparents Evelyn and John Baier and mother-in-law Sue Welstead.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Nebr. City.  Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Nehawka, NE.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the service at the church.

A Memorial Fund is being established for Curtis’s children’s future needs.
