LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska law enforcement in the metro area arrested three people following a multi-county pursuit Tuesday.

The Nebraska State Patrol said around noon, they were notified that Lancaster County deputies were in pursuit of a vehicle that had fled after being pulled over in Lancaster County.

Authorities said that the vehicle fled east on Interstate 80. The Lancaster County Sheriff's deputies stopped pursuit, and a trooper found the vehicle driving east near mile marker 432, in Sarpy County just past Melia Hill Rest Area.

The trooper reportedly tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver refused to stop, and continued to flee while driving over 100 mph. At this time the trooper initiated a pursuit.

After the pursuit started, NSP said the vehicle exited I-80 onto Highway 370 heading east.

The vehicle stopped near the Omaha National Cemetery and all three occupants fled on foot into a wooded area.

More troopers along with officers and deputies from the Papillion Police Department, Sarpy County Sheriff's Office, and Omaha Police Department responded to assist.

All of the law enforcement who responded, searched the area and found all three suspects. The suspects were all taken into custody without further incident and taken back to Lancaster County.

The NSP said they were assisted by multiple agencies in the arrests and pursuit.

This is an ongoing investigation and charges are pending.
