UNK football's Q Felton named to First-Team All-Super Region
KEARNEY, Neb. – Nebraska Kearney senior defensive end Quillan Felton has earned first-team All-Super Region 3 honors from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA).
College Sports Communicators (CSC) nominate and vote on the makeup of the squad. Super Region 3 consists of the MIAA, Great American Conference (GAC), Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). First-team picks move onto the national ballot where they could earn All-American status.
AFTER THREE-YEAR BREAK FROM FOOTBALL, UNK'S Q FELTON DOMINATING IN SENIOR SEASON
A unanimous first-team All-MIAA pick, Felton (Lithonia, Ga.) was one of the league’s most dominant defenders in 2024, racking up 17.5 tackles for loss including 7.0 sacks. He also has six quarterback hurries, three pass breakups, a forced fumble, blocked kick and 66 tackles. Felton ranked second on UNK in stops, led the MIAA in TFL’s and was tied for first in sacks. The Butler C.C. (Kan.) transfer did all that despite playing with a protective wrap on his left hand for most of the fall. Finally, Felton is the first Loper d-lineman to make this squad since fellow end Mason Brodine (2nd-team) in 2010.
The MIAA had 21 of the 50 selections with Central Missouri QB Zack Zebrowski being tabbed the Offensive Player of the Year. Indianapolis linebacker Clay Schulte won the Defensive honor.
