Sheriff's office says meth found in RV
NEBRASKA CITY - Nicholas Liebrecht, 37, of Menifee, Calif., and Robert Hamlin, 39, of Rockwood, Tenn., face a mandatory minimum of five years in prison on an Otoe County charge of possession of methamphetamine from 28 to 139 grams on Nov. 25.
An Otoe County Sheriff’s Office affidavit says a deputy investigated a recreational vehicle at Love’s Travel Center at Syracuse with expired plates. Authorities deployed a Nebraska State Patrol service dog and later searched the RV and a car.
The affidavit says 29 grams of meth were found in the RV and marijuana found in the car.
The affidavit says Liebrecht and Hamlin claimed they were moving a storage-unit worth of items from California to Tennessee for a family member.
Bond was set with a $1,000 provision.
In a separate case, Chloe Cummings, 28, of Dyersburg, Tenn., is charged in Otoe County with possession of methamphetamine and cocaine on Nov. 27.
Nebraska City police and the Otoe County Sheriff’s Office were running radar on Fourth Corso and searched Cummings’ rented SUV after a traffic stop near Steinhart Park Road.
There were no charged related to fake currency.
