Sentence handed down in child abuse case

AUBURN - Brett Stevenson, 26, of Auburn was sentenced to two to 10 years incarceration for attempted child abuse on June 24.

A Children’s Hospital nurse reported injuries to an infant child that included bleeding on the brain and injury to his liver and ribs. Court records say the injuries may  have been caused by the infant being shaken.
