Eleven Different Peru State Football Players Recognized by HAAC
OVERLAND PARK, KS - On Thursday, November 21, the Heart of America Athletic Conference named its Football All- Conference Award winners. Eleven Bobcat football players earned All-Conference Awards including a Freshman of the Year Award.
Ja-Quez Oliver earned the Heart North Freshman of the Year Award for his role on the Bobcats' defense.
Three Bobcats earned Offensive All-Conference Awards.
Amahd Baker- 1st Team (Offensive Line)
Baker (Jr., St. Augustine, FL) earned First Team All- Conference for his role on the Bobcats offensive line. He helped the Bobcats offense to 3750 total offensive yards, including 1740 rushing yards.
Stacian Livingston- 2nd Team (Running Back)
Livingston (Jr., St. Louis, MO) earned Second Team All-Conference as a running back. He had 111 rushes for 584 rushing yards, averaging 73 per game and scoring two touchdowns this season.
Jordan Kempf- 2nd Team (Wide Receiver)
Kempf (Sr., Arlington, TX) earned Second Team All-Conference, his second Wide Receiver All-Conference award as a Bobcat. He had 72 receptions for a total of 1293 yards, averaging 68.1 yards per game. He racked up four touchdowns this season with the longest being 71 yards. He also added 147 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
Five Bobcats earned defense all-conference awards.
Ashley Thompson- 1st Team (Defensive Backs)
Thompson (So., Springfield, GA) earned First Team All-Conference Defense as a Defensive Back. Thompson accumulated 44 total tackles this season with 26 being solo tackles. He averaged 4.4 tackles per game and had 5 interceptions for a total of 94 yards and two broken up passes.
Zahir Washington- 2nd Team (Defensive Line)
Washington (So., Pleasantville, N.J.) earned Second Team All-Conference for his role on the Defensive Line. He had 21 total tackles for the Bobcats with 14 being solo tackles averaging 2.3 tackles per game. During the season, he had two sacks for 15 yards and 5.5 tackles for loss of 23 yards.
Jakari Starling- 2nd Team (Linebackers)
Starling (Sr. Riviera Beach, FL) earned Second Team All-Conference as a linebacker for the Bobcats. He had 20 total tackles with 12 solo tackles for an average of 3.3 tackles per game. He also added 1.5 tackles for loss for the Bobcats this season.
Ja-Quez Oliver- 2nd Team (Linebackers)
Oliver (Fr., Ocala, FL) earned Second Team All-Conference as well as Heart North Freshman of the Year. He had 57 total tackles, 33 being solo tackles for an average of 6.3 tackles per game. Oliver also tallied 1.5 sacks and 6.5 tackles for a total loss of 13 yards.
Duke McClinton- 2nd Team (Defensive Backs)
McClinton (So., Warren Robbins, GA) earned Second Team All-Conference as a Defensive Back this season. He had 55 total tackles with 37 solo tackles for an average of 5.5 tackles per game. McClinton tallied 4.5 tackles for loss and 2 interceptions for 46 yards.
One Bobcat Earned a Special Teams All-Conference Award.
Jordan Kempf- 2nd Team (Returner)
Kempf (Sr., Arlington, TX) earned Second Team All-Conference as a returner for the second year in a row. Kempf had 6 kick returns for a total 179 yards with the longest being yards, averaging 29.8 yards. He had 11 punt returns with an average of 8.7 yards after for 96 yards.
Three Bobcats Earned All-Conference Honorable Mention.
Caleb Jackson
Jackson (Sr., Oakwood, GA) earned All-Conference Honorable Mention this season. As a defensive back, Jackson had 13 solo tackles and 20 total tackles for an average of 2.5 tackles per game. He added 2 tackles for loss of eight yard. He also had three interceptions for 93 yards for the Bobcats.
Dominic Winn
Winn (Jr., Lincoln, NE) also earned All-Conference Honorable Mention this season as a Tight End. He made large contributions to the Bobcats offense helping the Bobcats not only on the offensive line but also adding 3 receptions and 39 yards.
Jackson White
White (Sr., Kansas City, KS) earned All-Conference Honorable Mention for his role on the Bobcats offensive line. He helped the Bobcats offense to 1740 rushing yards and 3750 total offensive yards.
