AUBURN – The Nemaha County Leadership Class No. 9 raised $9,378 to fund the installation of new trees, grass, landscaping and two charcoal grills at Coryell Park, located south of Brock.

Funding included $880 from Lifetime Vision Center’s annual last-day-of-school barbecue, a $5,000 grant from the Kimmel Foundation and nearly $3,500 in local donations.

Caretakers Debbie and Kaleb Bruggeman gave the class a tour of the park in October, where Grimm’s Gardens had completed landscaping.

Members of the class are Rebecca Crosier, Tommy Grafton, Desaray Johnson, Julia Lambert, Dena Stevenson and Theresa Shelton.
