Falls City earns spot in national land judging

FALLS CITY – Falls City is among the 2024 land judging team champions, along with Alma, Elmwood-Murdock, North Bend and Norfolk.

These top five teams advance to the national competition in El Reno, Okla., on April 29.

Among champion individuals are Dayton Snethen of Falls City and Leo Rikli of Elmwood-Murdoch.

The 2024 State FFA Land Judging Contest was held near Norfolk on Oct. 16 with 40 high schools competing.

Students learn to recognize physical features of soil, determine land capability for crop production and evaluate management practices.
