PLATTSMOUTH - A 55-year-old Omaha woman has been charged in Cass County following a Highway 75 accident that killed 30-year-old Zachariah Unruh of Auburn.

Investigators say Shelly Hayes attempted to turn her SUV into a driveway near Kenosha Road but turned into the path of a motorcycle driven by Unruh.

The motor vehicle homicide charge filed in Cass County court says the unintentional violation of driving on the left side of the road is the cause of Unruh’s death on Sept. 7.

Unruh was a 2012 graduate of Auburn High School.
