Keno funds help Talmage outdoor siren
Village hopes to have new siren installed this winter
TALMAGE – Otoe County commissioners approved keno funds to help Talmage get a new, outdoor emergency siren.
The county’s contribution of $3,240 is 10 percent of the $32,000 siren project. Federal Emergency Management and the governor’s office are paying the remaining 90 percent.
Fire Chief Greg Conz said he is hopeful the siren will be installed this winter in time for the spring storm season.
