Peru State Volleyball Player Honored by Conference for Defensive Efforts
OVERLAND PARK, KS - On Monday, October 14, the Heart of America Athletic Conference announced their Players of the Week. Kennedy Miller (Sr., Plattsmouth, Neb.) was named Heart Women's Volleyball Defender of the Week, presented by Molten.
Miller is the first Bobcat to win a Player of the Week Award during the 2024-25 school year and the first volleyball player to win a Heart Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week Award since the Bobcats' 2018 season.
Miller had a total of 18 blocks averaging 1.29 blocks per set in the Bobcats' three conference matches last week, including two reverse sweeps against MidAmerica Nazarene and Baker. Kennedy had six solo blocks and a total of eleven against Baker. Kennedy also added 12 kills for the Bobcats over the week.
The Peru State volleyball team is set to take on William Penn on Tuesday, October 15, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, at 6:00pm.
