Emergency services recap for second week of AppleJack

NEBRASKA CITY – Emergency services in Nebraska City responded to several calls during the second weekend of AppleJack
Saturday
1 a.m. - Nebraska City Fire and Rescue responded to a deer and motorcycle collision on Highway 75 north of K Road.
9:13 a.m. - Rescue was called to the corrections center
8:05 a.m. - There was a car and deer collision on Valmont Drive and Highway 2. There was airbag deployment but no injuries.
10:17 a.m. - Police responded to a criminal mischief complaint at Wildwood and investigated noise complaints. There were reports of loud motorcycles on Central Avenue at 9:56 a.m. and complaints of motorcycles racing through Steinhart Park at 10:17 a.m.
10:24 a.m.- A gunshot report on north 10th Street turned out to be balloons popping.
4:07 p.m. – Nebraska City Fire and Rescue was called to a field fire started by a combine south of Nebraska City on Jade Road.
Sunday
12:05 a.m. -- Police investigated a report of a suspicious man in the alley near the Veterans Memorial Building.
6:21 p.m. - There was an accident with airbag deployment at 11th Street and Central Avenue.
