NEBRASKA CITY - Nebraska City police report two accidents on Saturday and several arrests during the AppleJack Festival.

Police say a Nissan Rouge was stopped on south 11th Street due to traffic being backed up around noon on Saturday. The Nissan was struck by a Ford pickup driven by a Council Bluffs teen near 13th Corso. Nebraska City Fire and Rescue was called after a driver hit the windshield.

There was two-vehicle accident at 10th Street and Fourth Corso as the parade was ending. Nebraska City Fire and Rescue was dispatched for an air bag deployment accident.

Police report the arrest of a 32-year-old Nebraska City man on Friday for failure to appear and a 45-year-old Nebraska City woman for failure to pay fines.

At 2:31 a.m. Saturday, Fremont County authorities attempted a traffic stop in Iowa, but the driver did not stop until he was in Nebraska. There was a DUI investigation.

At 4 a.m., a 23-year-old Nebraska City man was booked into the county jail on a DUI charge.

Police report the arrest of a 20-year-old Nebraska City man on Sunday for failure to appear.

 

Saturday, Sept. 21

2:31 a.m. - Saturday, Fremont County authorities attempted a traffic stop in Iowa, but the driver did not stop until he was in Nebraska. There was a DUI investigation.

4 a.m. - a 23-year-old Nebraska City man was booked into the county jail on a DUI charge.

8:24 a.m. – Officers were alerted to a possible road rage case. Two pickups were westbound on Highway 2. A caller said one of the drivers made a “gun sign” and was following the other driver.

9:15 a.m. – The railroad called to report cows near the tracks near Road 60. Police called to north Eighth Street where a raccoon would not come out from beneath a golf cart.

11:17 am. – Police asked to investigate a large yard cart in the street.

11:22 a.m. – Police trying to get parked cars to move off of Central Avenue for the parade.

11:56 a.m. - two vehicle accident near Arbor Cleaning at 1402 S. 11th St. A 16-year-old male hit the windshield. Rescue call to check out the teen.

1:24  p.m. – A vehicle was parked in front of a driveway on First Corso.

2:50 p.m. – A two-vehicle crash at 10th Street and Fourth Corso. 911 calls. Air bag deployment.  Nebraska City Fire and Rescue dispatched.

4:13 p.m. – Lost wallet reported.

4:54 p.m. – Thunderstorm warning for western Otoe County.

 7:51 p.m. – Medic requested at Bullriding event.
