Bobcat Volleyball Falls to 1-3 in Conference with Loss at Central Methodist

FAYETTE, MO - The Peru State Bobcats traveled to Fayette, Missouri, to take on the #18 Central Methodist Eagles. The Bobcats fell 0-3 in the matchup. The Bobcats are now 5-11 overall and 1-3 in the Heart of America Conference.
Raevyn Russel started out the matchup with the first kill in the first set. Kills from Kalolaine Pasikala and Kalyssa Fox helped the Bobcats keep the set close. Blocks from Elli Williams and Raevyn Russel and a kill from Russel helped the Bobcats continue going point for point with the Eagles. Despite the Bobcats efforts, the Eagles pulled away with a lead and took set one 25-14.
In set two, Raevyn Russel started off the Bobcats with a kill, followed by a kill from Elli Williams. The Bobcats struggled, as the Eagles began to pull away with an early lead. Russel had back-to-back kills with Addison Schneider also having two kills as the Bobcats tried to close the gap. The Eagles pushed through the Bobcats' efforts and won the set 25-12.
The Bobcats had a slow start in the third, as the Eagles took a 7-0 lead. Strong serves from Elli Williams along with three kills from Addison Schneider began the Bobcats' efforts to close the Eagles' lead. The Eagles extended their lead and won set three, 25-11.
Raevyn Russel led the Bobcats with seven kills, four digs and two blocks. Addison Schneider had five kills with Kalolaine Pasikala adding four kills against the Eagles.
Allie Schneider had eight assists for the Bobcats with five digs. Samantha Chesley also had eight assists and added four digs in the matchup. Emily Sherman added 12 digs against the Eagles.
