Auburn man killed in Highway 75 motorcycle crash

MURRAY - Cass County officials report a fatal motorcycle accident at 4 p.m. Saturday involving an Auburn man.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office reports that 55-year-old Shelly Hayes of Omaha was southbound in a 2015 GMC Terrain when she attempted to turn east into a driveway at 4815 Highway 75.
A press release says Hayes turned into the path of a 2002 Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by Zachariah Unruh, age 30, of Auburn.
Unruh's motorcycle struck the front driver's side corner of the GMC. He was ejected and landed in the east ditch. No occupants of Hayes' vehicle were injured. Unruh was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
A portion of Highway 75 near Kenosha Road was closed for three and a half hours during the investigation. Murray Volunteer Fire and Rescue responded.
Services are pending at Hemmingsen Funeral Home.
