Tax increment financing proposed

NEBRASKA CITY - The Nebraska City City Council has scheduled a public hearing on a redevelopment plan for 257 acres from the Missouri River to the former north industrial area.
The hearing is set at 6 p.m. on Sept. 15 at the Rowe Safety Complex. A redevelopment plan in the area, including the Boyd Heritage Farm, will use tax increment financing.
GoodLife Agriculture is building an aquaculture facility that will use water wells in the Missouri River aquifer. The $190 million project is expected to have a five-year economic impact of $500 million.
