Update: Auburn man located deceased
Update
BROWNVILLE - The Nemaha County Sheriff's Office reports the recovery of the remains of an Auburn man who has been missing since July 31.
A press release says an investigation by the Nemaha County Sheriff's Office led searchers to the area of the Brownville boat dock, where 43-year-old Alexander Mayfield was found.
With specialized assistance from the Missouri Highway Patrol and Nebraska Game and Parks Commission the location was pinpointed and a vehicle recovered downstream of the dock with Mayfield inside.
An autopsy has been ordered, but the sheriff's office says foul play does not appear to be involved.
