MURRAY - Cass County Sheriff Robert Sorenson reports a 4-wheeler fatality Monday evening.

Deputies responded along with Cass County medics and the Murray Fire and Rescue department to an area of 12th Avenue and Baxter Loop on a report of a man pinned beneath a 4-wheeler.

The sheriff’s office press release says deputies found 65-year-old Daniel Delancey of Murray deceased.

Investigators say he was riding his Arctic Cat 550 ATV on his property when it rolled down an embankment.

Cass County Sheriff Robert Sorenson advised that on Monday, July 16, 2024, at 17:50 hrs, Cass County Deputies, along with Cass County Medics and Murray Fire and Rescue, responded to the area of 12th Ave and Baxter Loop for a male party pinned under a 4-wheeler.
Deputies arrived at the residence and located the male party, who was deceased.
The male was identified as Daniel Delancey, 65 years old, of Murray.
The investigation revealed that Delancey was riding his Arctic Cat 550 4-wheeler ATV on his property when it rolled down an embankment and pinned him underneath. Alcohol was not a factor, and helmets were not in use.
