NEBRASKA CITY – Camp Catron at Nebraska City is hosting a mentorship camp for Girl Scouts July 18-21. A formal dinner is planned at the Lied Lodge.

Girl Scouts are paired with accomplished women mentors from diverse professional backgrounds. The camp is structured around adventurous activities and is intended to help participants develop healthy relationships, boost their confidence and gain a strong sense of self.

Nebraska City, NE) – From July 18-21, Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska will host an extraordinary Mentorship Camp at Camp Catron in Nebraska City. This unique event pairs Girl Scouts, ages 16-18, with inspiring women mentors from a variety of professional backgrounds for a camp experience filled with fun, growth, and empowerment. 

The Mentorship Camp delves into career planning and networking, equipping Girl Scouts with essential skills for their futures. The program is structured to help the participants develop healthy relationships, boost their confidence, and gain a strong sense of self.  

The mentors represent a diverse array of professions including business owners, educators, diversity, equity, and inclusion experts, executive directors, and registered nurses. Their collective expertise and experiences provide the Girl Scouts with invaluable insights and guidance which will guarantee this program to be a cornerstone of personal and professional development.  

Throughout the camp program, Girl Scouts will embark on challenging and fun adventures alongside their mentors including the adventure course, swimming, archery, yoga, and a special formal dinner at the Lied Lodge. These activities are designed to be enjoyable and foster strong bonds between Girl Scouts and their mentors.
