Orville L. Parde
Orville L. Parde, 83 of Adams, passed away on July 2, 2024, at Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams. He was born on June 26, 1941, to Louis & Grace (Harms) Parde in Adams. On July 8, 1962, he married Doris Thiemann at the United Methodist Church in Sabetha, KS.
Orville worked as a mechanic throughout his life, while also being a dairy farmer and doing custom chopping. He also spent over 20 years driving a school bus for the Norris school district. Orville will be remembered for his love of tinkering and talent for storytelling.
He is survived by his children Brenda (Randy) Peterson of Nebraska City, Jason Parde of Adams, Michele (Adam) Parde-Graven of Adams; grandchildren Joshua (Railen) Peterson, Justin (Jolie) Peterson, Logan Parde, Aubrie (Keaton) Macholan; great grandchildren Layken Macholan & Hudson Peterson; siblings Carolyn (Jon) Iverson, Merlin (Franki) Parde, Clarence (Faith) Parde, Donna (Chuck) Walter, Dennis (Janoa) Parde; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law Phyllis (Joe) Massenburg of Florence, AL, Don (Sue) Thiemann of Manhattan, KS; also many nieces, nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Doris, son Darin and parents-in-law Fred & Lavinna Thiemann.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 10 at 11:00 a.m. at the Panama Presbyterian Church. The service will be livestreamed on the church Facebook page.
