NEBRASKA CITY - The latest hydrographs published by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration show an increase in the forecasted crest of the Missouri River.

An initial forecasted crest of 25.2 feet was lowered to 23.8 feet Thursday and elevated back to 24.3 feet on Friday afternoon. The river entered moderate flood stage this morning and is forecast to crest Sunday by 7 a.m.

The new forecast shows the river cresting at Plattsmouth at 32.5 feet on Sunday.

A crest of 41.4 feet is forecast at Brownville by 7 p.m. on Monday.
