John Harold Pabst, 81, of Cook, NE, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Born on March 15, 1943, in Lincoln, to John and Katherine (Doris) Pabst.

John was co-owner of Pabst Petroleum Products Company and managed several Kings Food Hosts restaurants. He worked 26 years at Bryan West Hospital as a maintenance engineer, where he retired.

John was an advocate for all animals. He enjoyed collecting classic cars. John was a member of a clown club. He also participated in the Harmonizers singing group from Beatrice.

Family members include his wife, Carolyn, sons Brian and Eric (Rosa) of Lincoln, and Troy (Sabine) of Unadilla, NE; granddaughters Samone Wulf, Molly Pabst and Estella Pabst, of Lincoln, and sister Linda Pabst. Preceded in death by his parents and his brother James and sister Katherine Bowen.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Friday, June 28, at Roper and Sons South Chapel in Lincoln. A visitation will be held with family greeting friends from 6-7:30PM on Thursday, June 27, at Roper and Sons South Chapel. Memorials will go to the Capital Humane Society.
