Highway 75 crash Sunday
NEBRASKA CITY – Emergency calls are keeping pace with the June heatwave.
Nebraska City firefighters have responded to two, Highway 75 traffic accidents, including a car and deer accident Friday.
The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident with airbag deployment on Highway 75 near A Road on Sunday, but says there were no injuries.
A Ford truck driven by Patrick Jensen, 65, of Bellevue slowed in the northbound lane so a car ahead could turn into a driveway. The Ford was struck from behind by a Dodge pickup driven by Francisco Banderas of Omaha.
Firefighters responded to Arbor Lodge on June 6 when welders accidentally triggered a false fire alarm. They returned to the mansion June 7 for an alarm malfunction.
There was a false alarm at the sixth-floor elevator at Riverview Terrace on June 15 and a false alarm at Prestige Car on 10th Street on June 21.
