Here is the library's press release

As a 15-year old, Stephanie Bryant snapped a picture of the Magic Kingdom, and then patiently waited for the town Fotomat to have her prints ready. This was in the early 80's, so not the quick turn-around of today. However, once this photo was "hot off the press", she was smitten with the results of the blue sky, Disney classic castle and a pristine Sea Gull, frozen in flight. To her, this was the magic of photography, the eternal aspect of the craft- the frozen in time element.

The latest Morton-James Public Library’s Kimmel Gallery’s exhibit features photography by Stephanie Bryant. The show runs June 5 through 29 during regular Library hours: Monday through Thursday 9-6, Friday 9-5 and Saturday 9-1. An artist reception, free and open to the public will be held on June 17 from 5:30-7 pm. Please use the south entrance.

While on her life journey, Bryant has never been a techie as in an expert gadget gal, in regard to finding her way "around" a camera- and admittedly, on the fly, just picks up her smart phone to snap, when not wanting to contend with contraptions.

On the other hand, most would say she naturally finds her way "to the picture" and then to the art of "playing with the pic" through editing, and finally, the joy of show-casing to inspire others. These three strengths embody her natural affinity.

Finally, Bryant is drawn with her Mother's heart to life-style photography in documenting her son and daughter's childhood, however, "Landscape Americana Capturings," she considers her dialogue with the divine- her prayer on the prairie... Her Magic Kingdom.

Bryant feels privileged to have her work featured as background of commissioned commemorative poetry throughout the past decade, auctioned off for charity at local wineries (Rich Harvest), Galas (St. Paulinus Catholic Church), Staack's Furniture and Germanfest (Syracuse), while also having clients across the country. Recently, her photography was recognized as Open Class in Theme Category grand prize photo, at the Otoe County Fair, two years in a row.

As a former military spouse, she learned that her niche skill set was comprised of creative offerings, such as photography and writing and utility skills of professional organization and food allergy hands on consulting. Her goal is to grow her businesses while still remaining available as an active, hands on Mom; what she deems her most purposeful role.
