Court seals complaint against robbery suspect

NEBRASKA CITY - An Otoe County Sheriff's Office Facebook post today indicates an arrest linked to the Vape Town armed robbery on Mother's Day.
An arrest warrant was issued in Otoe County naming Detharoun Sihakhom, 53, of Tecumseh on allegations of robbery, false imprisonment and use of a firearm to commit a felony on May 12.
The sheriff’s office told the court that Sihakhom was arrested Thursday morning.
The Otoe County Attorney’s Office moved to have the court seal the affidavit for the arrest warrant and the complaint. County Attorney Jennifer Panko Rahe told the court there is an ongoing investigation.
Sihakhom, also known as Joe Sihakhom, served 50 days in jail after a deaf-mute man in Tecumseh reported a burglary in 2019. A Johnson County arrest affidavit says Sihakhom has convictions in multiple states, including Nebraska.

The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office earlier reported a May 12 armed robbery at Vape Town near the highways 2 and 50 interchange at Syracuse.
A press release says a man wearing a black mask and clothing entered the store with a handgun and demanded cash. The store clerk was led to a back room and bound before the suspect fled out a rear door.
The press release said the clerk was not injured was able to get free to dial 911.
The suspect was described as an Asian or Hispanic male, 5’8”, 200 pounds with long black hair with light highlights.
The sheriff's office Facebook post thanks all Syracuse community members and businesses that assisted with the investigation.
