SYRACUSE - The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office reports an armed robbery at Vape Town in Syracuse at 6:45 p.m. on Mother's Day, May 12.

A press release says a man wearing a mask and dressed in all black entered the store with a handgun and demanded cash. The store clerk was taken to the back of the store and was bound.

The sheriff says the man fled southbound on foot from the rear of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The clerk was able to get free and call 911 a short time later. The clerk was not injured.

The suspect was described as an Asian or Hispanic male, 5’8”, 200 pounds with long black hair with light highlights.
