NEBRASKA CITY – Cases alleging domestic assault are filed in Otoe County.

Kayle Sharp, 24, of Nebraska City is charged with first degree assault and assault on an officer on May 3.

Police told the court that an ambulance was called to a 14th Corso apartment for a man with a broken nose. Sharp is accused of later striking an officer at the county jail.

Mark Marrs, 43, of Syracuse is charged with assault by strangulation and misdemeanor assault on May 1.

An arrest affidavit says a woman told Otoe County sheriff’s deputies she had been choked at a Thorne Street residence.

In a separate case, Edward Devlin, 53, of Redding, Calif., was sentenced to five days served and a $100 fine for carrying a concealed knife by a prohibited person.

An arrest affidavit says a state trooper stopped Devlin’s pickup truck in a 55 mph zone of on Highway 2 on May 3 and found a knife with a blade length of eight inches.
