SIDNEY - In less than a year, Cody Ross and Cody Pringle revitalized their music careers, hit the music stage and now signed their first record label deal.

The duo's group, coined "Sky Manor," announced Friday they've signed with Bloc Star Evolution, a label services and distribution company that has a deal with INgrooves/Virgin Music Group, via Universal Music Group.

"We want to give a huge shoutout to our dude X-Raided," Ross and Pringle said in a statement on social media. "He believed in Sky Manor, knows what we are capable of, and is putting his label’s name behind our music. We will put on for Bloc Star and make you proud."

Bloc Star was founded by Sacramento, Cali. based rapper X-Raided, who's currently signed to Strange Music, Inc. under Tech N9ne and Travis O'Guin.

Ross and Pringle say they will be releasing their albums through Bloc Star Evolution.

"Sky Manor" is named after an area on the north side of Sidney, which includes the two roads, Sky Road and Manor Road. Both Ross and Pringle lived on Sky Manor at one point or another in their lives.

"We wanted to take something local that we both knew and bring our brand with it," Ross said. "It also resonates with us on a spiritual level and musical level. Sky Manor is basically Heaven in another sense. A place of happiness and peace for us that we escape the hell of the world and all the pain and suffering around us. Kind of coincides with the view of Heaven as well."

Sky Manor will play their first show in their hometown at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds in Sidney on Saturday, June 8. The show features other local talent, including Bigg Mic, Boyd, Nebraskaholics, Royall Music & Niino Benz. The concert, open to all ages, begins at 5 p.m.

The cost is $20 per ticket. All proceeds from the show benefit the Loya Project, a foundation that raises awareness for domestic violence and sexual assault victims.
