NPPD plans outage for line relocation in Johnson County
Power line work is prompting a four-hour long outage, set for April 22nd
BEATRICE – A planned power outage will affect two southeast Nebraska communities during rerouting of a power line.
Nebraska Public Power District says a planned four-hour power outage is scheduled for April 22nd, in Sterling and St. Mary.
The outage will last from eight a.m. until noon, so electric crews can safely reroute a power line.
Crews will adjust location of some power poles northwest of Sterling near the Big Nemaha River…to support work on completing a bridge in that area. The line being moved is owned by Norris Public Power District and connects with a substation that serves St. Mary and Sterling.
NPPD worked with Norris, village governments and schools to set the date and time of the outage. Customers in Sterling and St. Mary will be notified about the scheduled outage through automated phone messages.
