FALLS CITY - Jesse Partlow, 33, of Big Springs, Texas, was sentenced to 1 to 2 years in county jail for possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance on Oct. 24 with a consecutive 1 to two years, with credit for 160 days served, for possession of a firearm while committing a felony.

An arrest affidavit says a Richardson County sheriff’s deputy made a Highway 75 traffic stop and says a modified, folded-up shotgun and methamphetamine were found.

In a separate case, Darryl Chestnut, 58, of Bern, Kan., was sentenced to 18 months probation for possession in December of 2022 and 90 days in jail for a concealed weapon.

A Richardson County sheriff’s deputy made a highway 75 traffic stop and found methamphetamine and a .45 caliber Ruger handgun.

A charge alleging possession of a shotgun was dismissed.

The Richardson County arrest came 18 days before Chestnut appeared in a Cass County court, where he was sentenced to 180 days in jail for attempted possession.
