NEBRASKA CITY – The Nebraska State Patrol investigated a roll-over accident on Highway 2 west of Nebraska City at 8:17 Thursday morning.

Radio traffic indicates that a state trooper stopped a tire that was rolling on the westbound lanes of the highway and checked on two occupants of a Ford Ranger pickup. Both men refused medical care.

The pickup’s tire was located hundreds of yards from where the pickup came to rest on its top in the traffic lane.

An officer at the scene this morning said the cause of the accident is still pending.
