City considers Memorial Way reservations

NEBRASKA CITY – City commissioners directed staff Monday to model a reservation agreement for the downtown Memorial Way after rental paperwork for park shelters.

A request to use the Memorial Way for a graduation party May 12 prompted Street Commissioner Joe Chaney to ask the other commissioners about the policy of renting public space for private events.

Commissioners asked about trash cans and the availability of restrooms on a Sunday.

The city council tabled the request until a reservation form is drawn up.
