NEBRASKA CITY – Men from Johnson County and Rock Port, Mo., are charged in Otoe County with felony methamphetamine charges that could carry a maximum of 50 years in prison if convicted.

Scott Brion, 39, of Rock Port, Mo., and Mitchell Elliott, 32, of Sterling are charged with over 28 grams of meth on March 15.

Court records say police were looking for Elliott regarding a Johnson County assault case and believe he was hiding in a car driven by Brion on March 15.

Otoe County sheriff’s deputies searched the vehicle and say luggage with multiple containers and a book bag with a scale and vape pens were found. Deputies say meth,  a gram of psilocybin mushrooms, THC wax and pills were found.

Bond for Elliott was set at $30,000.
