Peggy was born June 13, 1941 in Rockford, IL to Bernard Copus and Lavonne (Van Stone) Copus. She was married to Danny Ray Garst on December 29, 1965. Peggy worked for over 30 years at the Tabor Manor as a Certified Medication Aid.
Peggy was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother. She loved her family, reading, crossword puzzles as well as jigsaw Puzzles. Her big heart, sense of humor and sassy nature will be missed by all that knew her. She was loved by everyone that was fortunate enough to know her.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Danny Garst of Tabor, IA; 3 daughters, Colleen Farwell of Columbia, MO, Kathy Deitchler and husband Aaron of Silver City, IA and Cheryl Kelsay and husband Danny of Heartville, MO; son, Rick Moore and wife Laura of Council Buffs, IA; step son, Paul Garst of Pennsylvania; 7 grandchildren, Amanda, Rachel, Nicole, Dustin, Tara, Miranda and Ian; several great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; brother, Larry Copus of Wisconsin; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for the interment of ashes will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Tabor, IA Cemetery with Chaplain Bella DeVille of St. Croix Hospice officiating. There will be no viewing and visitations will be open from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday at the Marshall Funeral Chapel in Tabor, IA. Memorials will go to the Iowa Alzheimer’s Association.
