NEBRASKA CITY - David Balfour, 53, of Nebraska City is charged in Otoe  County with possession of a firearm during a drug violation, possession of a deadly weapon while committing a felony and possession of a controlled substance without drug stamp on Feb. 25.

The court has sealed a probable cause affidavit, but  Otoe County Attorney Jennifer Panko-Rahe has filed a complaint alleging possession of a knife and Remington .22 caliber rifle and possession of marijuana without paying tax. He is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

A $50,000 bond was set in county court. A preliminary hearing is scheduled April 3.

Balfour was sentenced to three years probation in 2022 for attempted possession of methamphetamine.
