OMAHA, Neb. -- A search warrant was used by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and evidence was found in connection to an ongoing, large scale forgery ring in the metro area.

Officers said a search warrant was served on Thursday in the 11000 block of Corby St. at 1:00 p.m.

According to authorities, 19-year-old Javion Meisinger and a woman, who is unrelated to the investigation, were inside the home. Police reported finding several items of evidence that connected Meisinger to ongoing forgery investigation.

Officials said the items were blank check stock, forged checks, and equipment used to make forged
financial documents. Firearms, narcotics, and multiple firearm accessories were also reportedly found in the apartment.

Meisinger was booked at the Douglas County Department of Corrections for four counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, one count of possession of a defaced firearm, one count of possession of a forged instrument, and one count of possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
