OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A driver responsible for causing serious damage to a building at a golf course in Omaha was sentenced in court Thursday.
The driver received one year probation, one year without a driver’s license, and a $100 fine for a willful reckless driving charge — a misdemeanor.
In April 2023, a pickup crashed into the side of the clubhouse at Warren Swigart Golf Course near 90th and Maple Street. The crash put a massive hole in the side of the brick structure, and forced the course to shut down for a few weeks.
No one was seriously hurt, but the crash was impactful on the cost of rebuilding, with an estimated $250,000 in damage.
