AUBURN, NE - The top-seeded Auburn Bulldogs rolled in the Subdistrict C1-1 Tournament opener Tuesday, piling up the points in a 74-27 victory over Falls City. The Bulldogs led 23-11 through one quarter and built that to a 44-17 lead by recess. Auburn was on target from long range, draining 13 3-pointers. Falls City had more treys than 2-pointers, finishing with six 3-balls, but it wasn't enough. The Tigers were led by the twelve points of Keifer Adams, who did all of his damage from behind the arc. Falls City was just 1/4 from the free throw line. Auburn got 27 points from Maverick Binder, who hit seven triples and didn't score in the fourth quarter. Nixon Ligouri helped the cause with twelve (all from deep) and Cameron Leslie was the inside presence with ten points (all from 2-point land). Auburn will now take on Wilber-Clatonia after they eliminated Fairbury. The teams clash on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 6p on B103 & B103.FM.
