ELK CREEK -- NioCorp, which plans to produce about 100 tons of scandium per year from its Elk Creek Critical Minerals Project if the project is financed and constructed, announced a collaboration to develop aluminum-scandium alloys for the automotive sector.
A NioCorp press release says the Brunel Centre for Advanced Solidification Technology in London is developing a wide range of aluminum alloys to enhance components to reduce weight of vehicles, increase recyclability and reduce manufacturing costs.
