CANTON, MO - The Peru State women's basketball team fell to the Culver-Stockton Wildcats, 83-41, on the road Saturday. The Bobcats are now 6-12 in the Heart of America Conference and 9-13 overall.    

In the first half of the matchup with the Wildcats, the Bobcats started off with a made layup by Olivia WilliamsHailey Ingram followed up William's layup with a steal and shot behind the arc for the Bobcats. Samantha Stewart led the Bobcats into the second quarter with a layup assisted by Olivia Williams. The Bobcats' offense struggled overall, though, as the team trailed going into halftime 38-20.  

Coming out of the break, the Bobcats had a slow start. Peru State continued to try and stop the Wildcats' offense, but could not close the gap. Free throws from Olivia Williams finished out the third quarter for the Bobcats. Natasha Deal had the first shot the the Bobcats in the fourth quarter after an assist from Maddy Duncan. A final layup in the game by Brianne Kuhlman finished the game. The Bobcats fell 83-41. 

Kylie Diaz led the team with nine points, seven steals, two rebounds and two blocks against the Wildcats. Hailey Ingram also had nine points, adding two rebounds and two steals. Maddy Duncan and Samantha Stewart each had six points with four rebounds and a steal for the Bobcats. Olivia Williams added four points and six rebounds. Culver-Stockton out-scored Peru State by double-figures in three of the quarters. Addison Newbon led the Wildcats with 21 points off the bench, while starter Aaliyah Ortiz turned in a double-double with 20 points & 10 assists.
