Pedestrian dies after getting hit by UPS truck in north Omaha

Omaha Police confirmed Thursday morning the person hit by a UPS truck Wednesday night has died.

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha Police confirmed Thursday morning the person hit by a UPS truck Wednesday night has died.

It happened just after 7:30 p.m. near 32nd and Sorensen Parkway.

Authorities confirmed emergency crews had begun CPR on David McCormick as he was being taken to the hospital; he later died there.

Police determined the UPS vehicle was traveling eastbound on Sorensen towards 32nd, where the light at the intersection was green.

McCormick was crossing the intersection when he was hit.

It wasn’t initially clear if any charges would come from the incident.
