Grant awarded to Tecumseh Creative District
Tecumseh pursues signage, website and brochures
TECUMSEH -Tecumseh Historical Downtown Creative District announced today that it has been awarded a grant of $10,000 by the Nebraska Arts Council. This grant will support the development and marketing efforts of the Creative District.
Nebraska Arts Council Executive Director Mike Markey commented, “Tecumseh Historic Downtown Creative District contributes a great deal to advancement of the arts in Tecumseh. We commend the work being done by organizations such as Tecumseh Historic Downtown Creative District because the arts are important to the education and quality of life for all Nebraskans.”
The grant can be utilized to develop a more thorough five year strategic plan, develop marketing platforms and establish programs and events to attract visitors to the district. According to Sarah Williamson, district administrator, “Our immediate priority is to create wayfinding signage, develop a website and informational brochures. We are in the preliminary planning stages for exciting summertime events to include all Tecumseh residents and neighbors that will create a fun and exciting district.”
Nebraska Arts Council (NAC), a state agency, provides numerous grants, services and special initiatives that help sustain and promote the arts throughout Nebraska.
