SCOTTSBLUFF, NE – Congressman Adrian Smith filed for re-election on Monday, January 8 to represent Nebraska’s Third District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Smith has been a conservative leader in Congress while fighting the reckless Biden agenda.

“Last week I visited the southern border and witnessed first-hand Joe Biden’s reckless open border policy that hurts our economy and undermines our national security,” Smith said. “Securing our borders and restoring fiscal sanity are among my highest priorities as I seek re-election. We must restore a pro-growth economy that boosts Nebraska agriculture, families, and small businesses. The policies of the Biden-Harris administration have done just the opposite by driving up inflation, weakening America’s standing on the world stage, imposing new costly regulatory burdens, and prioritizing a woke agenda driven by liberal extremists.”

“In Congress, I will continue to put Nebraska first, rolling up my sleeves to work on the issues important to the Third District,” said Smith. “I have been a leader on tax reform and tax relief, on the front lines of trade issues vital to Nebraska’s economy, in the trenches working for our farmers and ranchers on regulatory relief and market access, and a strong advocate for workforce re-entry programs to address the pressing need to fill job openings.”

“I will continue to fight for innocent life and oppose taxpayer funded abortion, support the 2nd Amendment and oppose restrictions on law-abiding gun owners, and promote fiscal responsibility and accountability while opposing runaway federal spending.”

“I humbly ask Nebraskans for their support and vote, and look forward to continuing to fight for the Third District.”

Congressman Smith currently serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, and is the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Trade. The Third District covers 80 of Nebraska’s 93 counties. Congressman Smith and his wife Andrea, along with their two children, reside in Gering.
