Johnson-Brock Dominates Weeping Water in Home Sweep Saturday
JOHNSON, NE - Johnson-Brock defended its home turf in a doubleheader sweep over Weeping Water Saturday. The Eagle ladies grabbed a 59-23 win before the guys turned in a stellar performance against the Indians in a 66-15 win.
In game one, Johnson-Brock jumped on top 14-2 after the first quarter & held a 34-8 lead at recess on the way to a 59-23 GBB win. The Eagles hit 8/15 from downtown in the win. Taryn Ottemann led the host squad with 21 points, while Natalie Knippelmeyer chipped in with 17. Brinkley McAdams had 13 points for the Indians. Weeping Water fell to 8-5 this season, while Johnson-Brock improved to 10-1.
The nightcap saw Johnson-Brock dominate the first quarter again, this time holding a 27-1 lead through the opening stanza. The Eagles didn't give up a fieldgoal in the first or fourth quarters of the boys' game. Johnson-Brock shot a ridiculous 15/25 from behind the arc (63%) to move their mark to 11-0 on the season. Weeping Water is still above .500 at 6-5 this season. JB had four players in double-digits - Brody Koehler (18 points), Camden Dalinghaus (14), Casen Dalinghaus (11), and Sloan Pelican (11).
