Hastings' Alcott Elementary receives donation of $500 through Stretch Across Nebraska, Medica

HASTINGS, Neb. -- December 20th's Stretch Across Nebraska winner was Amber Schultz.
Schultz won with the submission of kids having an indoor snowball fight at Alcott Elementary, Hastings Public Schools.
She said she would be donating the $500 to Alcott Elementary.
Schultz said that she was the one who started the indoor snowball fight with the kids after reading them a book. She said they immediately jumped in, having fun, and the whole ordeal lasted about 15 minutes.
"It's just not something they would expect from the adults in the building, to do something so whimsical and child like," Schultz said. "But yet, it gets them and active."
Schultz said this is a great way for the kids and adults to bond, no one gets hurt, they just have fun with it, and "it's a memory they'll never forget."
The $500 will be going back to Alcott Elementary thanks in part to Medica and Stretch Across Nebraska.
