Hotel tax leading Nebraska City report

70 percent of city's occupation taxes come from hotel stays

NEBRASKA CITY - The city’s occupation tax report for the budget year ending in September shows a total of nearly $438,000.

The hotel tax was the highest producer for Nebraska City with $310,830 collected. Telephone and telecommunications companies paid $66,624 and keno paid $38,858.

Occupation tax on alcoholic beverages paid $15,750.
