Meth, theft charge filed in Nemaha County

 PERU – The search of a Peru apartment has resulted in charges against Jerry Hunt, 33, of Nebraska City.

Court records say the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office and Nebraska State Patrol served a search warrant at a Fifth Street apartment in Peru on Dec. 3. An arrest affidavit says a large knife and pipe with meth residue were found. The affidavit also alleges recovery of stolen items.

A complaint filed in Nemaha County Court alleges stolen items to include a scientific calculator, notepads, class schedule and books belonging to a Peru woman.
